Last night, we finished the first part of our journey that was mainly focusing on children and education.
Those last 2 days, we drove across the Kon Tum province and visited 2 boarding schools for orphans and children who could not stay with their parents, all from ethnic minorities. Once again we were overwhelmed by the kindness and dedication that the catholic nuns have for those children. We had a great time laughing, singing and dancing together (enjoy the videos!)The donation money was used to deliver food, books, school supplies, scholarships and 5 digital keyboards! In addition, we paid for the urgently needed dialysis traitement of the mother of one of the school children.
Yesterday, we also visited a leper village. Leprosy traitements are available in Vietnam, but many of the people suffering from that terrible disease live together in those villages to avoid being stigmatized by other people. We provided that village with milk and notebooks.
We are now staying 2 days in Ho Chi Minh City, preparing for the next phase of our journey. Stay tuned!
